The short version
- Humaximus builds a platform that helps nonprofits and community organizations coordinate services for the people they serve.
- An organization uses the platform under the agreement it signs with us. These terms cover our website, our texts, and the people who sign in to the platform for an organization.
- The platform is not yet open to the people organizations serve. Until we tell an organization in writing that it is, its staff may not enter information about any real person it serves.
- Humaximus is technology. It doesn't provide health care, social services or emergency help. In an emergency, call 911.
- Messages inside Humaximus stay inside Humaximus. Our texts to phones: message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, reply STOP to stop and HELP for help.
- Questions: support@humaximus.com or (469) 909-7454.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Humaximus Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Humaximus" or "we"), builds and runs a platform that helps nonprofits and community organizations coordinate services for the people they serve. These terms are an agreement between Humaximus and you. They cover:
- our website, humaximus.com, including its contact form, booking a meeting and reserving a spot;
- messages inside the platform, and the text messages we send;
- the Humaximus platform, for the people who sign in to it for an organization ("organization users").
By using our website or the platform, or by agreeing to receive our texts, you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, please don't use them. To accept these terms, you must be able to enter a binding agreement. If you use the platform for an organization, you also confirm that the organization has given you access.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
The platform is not yet open to the people organizations serve. Before it is, we will publish new versions of these terms and our Privacy Policy that cover them.
2. Organizations and their agreements
An organization uses the platform under the agreement it signs with Humaximus, together with any order form or statement of work under it. That agreement sets the organization's services, fees and term, and how it may use the platform. If these terms and an organization's agreement disagree, the agreement controls for that organization.
Each organization decides who on its team gets an account and what each person can do. The organization is responsible for what its organization users do on the platform.
3. Using our website
You may use our website to learn about Humaximus, contact us, book a meeting and reserve a spot. Please don't:
- break the law, or use our website to harm anyone;
- send us false information, or pretend to be someone else;
- try to get into parts of our systems you aren't allowed into, or interfere with how they work;
- copy our website's design, text or images for your own use without our written permission.
Please don't send us health information through the contact form, by email, by text or by voicemail. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do if someone does.
What our website describes is the platform we offer and are building. Some features it describes are still being built. What an organization receives, and when, is set in its agreement.
4. Rules for using the platform
These rules apply to every organization user.
- Use Humaximus only for the people your organization is helping, and only for your organization's work.
- Keep confidential what you see in Humaximus.
- Use your own sign-in only. Never share it or use anyone else's.
- Don't copy information out of the platform, by screenshot, download or any other way, except for your organization's own work and as your organization allows.
- Report problems: tell us right away about a security problem, or about information that reached someone it shouldn't have, at security@humaximus.com.
- A note in Humaximus is not a report to the authorities. If you believe someone is being abused or is in danger, report it as the law and your organization require. In an emergency, call 911.
Also:
- Until Humaximus tells your organization in writing that the platform is open to the people it serves, don't enter information about any real person your organization serves.
- Enter only information your organization is allowed to keep and share, and keep it accurate.
- Never use information about the people your organization serves for marketing, sales or fundraising.
- Never upload or share child sexual abuse material. We report it to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, as the law requires.
- Don't try to get around the platform's access controls or security, test its security without our written permission, upload harmful code, or interfere with how it works.
- Don't copy, change, take apart or resell the platform, or use it to build a competing product.
5. Accounts and signing in
- Your organization gives you your account. Keep your password and your authenticator app to yourself.
- Keep your name, job title and work contact details accurate.
- If you think someone else has used your account, tell your organization's administrator and email security@humaximus.com right away.
- When you leave your organization, or no longer need access, your organization ends your account.
6. Messages and texts
Messages inside Humaximus
Organization users message each other inside the Humaximus platform, like direct messages. Once the platform opens to the people organizations serve, a person can also message the members of their care team there. Other users see a conversation only if they are in it or are added to it. A message inside Humaximus is never sent as a text. The rules in section 4 apply to every message.
Text messages
Humaximus sends texts in two programs. Each is registered with the mobile carriers, separately, before it sends any texts.
- Humaximus platform texts. Once the platform opens to the people organizations serve, it sends them, and the helpers they choose, sign-in codes, invitations for the people organizations serve to join the Humaximus app, and notices that something is waiting or that something in their account changed, with a link into the app. A person agrees to these texts on Humaximus's consent form, with an organization serving them or in the app, or asks for a code. The texts come from Humaximus alone, from a number used only for texts. They never name an organization, and never say anything about anyone's needs, health or messages. Organization users never receive texts from the platform, and messages between organizations stay inside Humaximus. A person who invites a helper by text sends that invitation from their own phone, not through Humaximus.
- Company phone line texts. Our company phone line, (469) 909-7454, texts people and organizations who contacted us, or who agreed to receive texts from us, about what they asked about, such as a question, a meeting or their account.
- How often. Message frequency varies.
- Cost. Message and data rates may apply.
- Stopping. Reply STOP at any time to stop texts from that program, or tell us, or an organization serving you, any other way.
- Help. Reply HELP for help, or contact support@humaximus.com or (469) 909-7454, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time.
- Agreeing to receive texts is never a condition of buying anything from us.
- Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- We never share or sell mobile phone numbers or text-message opt-in data for marketing. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle them.
7. Reserving a spot, and fees
Before an organization signs its agreement, it can reserve a spot on our website. Our payment company takes the payment. The amount is shown at checkout and on the receipt.
- An organization that reserves by December 31, 2026 keeps the rate shown on our website for a full year. Its agreement sets the exact dates.
- Reserving a spot doesn't open an account. An account opens once we have checked the organization's application and it has signed its agreement.
- If we can't open an account for the organization, or it asks us before its account opens, we refund the reservation in full.
Organizations that only receive referrals can use Humaximus free, as our website describes. Every other fee is set in the organization's agreement.
8. What Humaximus does and doesn't do
Humaximus is technology. It helps organizations work together, but it doesn't provide health care, legal, social, case management or emergency services, and it doesn't decide how an organization serves people. Each organization is responsible for the services it provides and the decisions it makes.
Humaximus is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 911. For a mental health or suicide crisis, call or text 988.
9. Information and ownership
- An organization keeps its rights in the information it puts into Humaximus. We use that information only to provide Humaximus, as our Privacy Policy and the organization's agreement describe.
- Humaximus owns our website and the platform: their software, design, text and names. These terms give you permission to use them as these terms allow, and nothing more.
- If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve Humaximus, without any duty to you.
10. Suspending or ending access
We may suspend or end an organization user's access if they break these terms, if it is needed to protect the people organizations serve, an organization or the platform, or if the law requires it. When we can, we tell the user and their organization first. An organization's own access is suspended or ended only as its agreement says.
You may stop using our website or the platform at any time.
11. Disclaimers and limits of liability
We work hard to keep Humaximus available and accurate, but we provide our website and the platform "as available". We don't promise they will always work without interruption or error, or that information others enter is accurate or complete. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond those in these terms and in an organization's agreement.
To the extent the law allows, Humaximus is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data, arising from these terms or from using our website or the platform. Our total liability to you under these terms is limited to the greater of $100 or what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. For an organization, its agreement sets Humaximus's liability instead.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Texas law. Any dispute about them is decided in the state or federal courts in Dallas County, Texas.
13. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms, we post the new version here with its date, and we keep each earlier version. If a change matters, we tell people with accounts, in the platform or by email, before it takes effect. Using our website or the platform after a change takes effect means you accept the new terms.
